Review rental terms before renting a car to avoid unexpected charges. Access them easily on our website. Contact us with questions.
Age – driver’s license
Drivers must be at least:
21 years old and with 3 years driving license.
If you do not meet the age requirements of the rental conditions, you will not be able to collect the car and you will be required to pay the full amount of the rental fee.
The maximum rental age is 65 years.
Delivery and collection of vehicle
We can deliver / pick up vehicles from wherever it serves.
You can pick up your chosen rental car anywhere on the island (port, airport, hotel, any point in Ikaria). The same goes for delivery.
There is no charge for the port of Evdilos.
For the port of Agios Kirikos and the Airport an additional fee of 20 euros is included.
Traffic violations, traffic fines and administrative penalties
Tickets and attached administrative penalties resulting from any violation of Greek traffic laws during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter.
If no such administrative sanction is disclosed to the company at the end of the rental period (contract), the violation will be charged to the renter.
Payment methods – Guarantee
The renter can pay by cash, debit card or bank transfer when picking up the car.
Change a reservation
You can request to change your reservation at any time, even multiple times, free of charge. Your change request will be processed and we will confirm if the requested change is possible within a few hours.
Car rental prices are subject to change and prices tend to be higher as the change date approaches the rental start date. We promise that the price you book is the price you’ll pay – but we can’t promise that the price you book today will stand if your rental period is extended, shortened or changed.
If you revise the rental period, the daily rate may change. Especially if the total rental period is less than a week. Generally, the longer the rental period, the lower the price per day.
If you have already received your vehicle and want to keep it longer, you must contact our company and check if the car is available. We have the right to refuse to extend the rental contract if the car is already booked.
If you decide to return the car earlier than the rental fee stated in the rental contract, we do not refund any amount of money for unused days.
Kilometers
Unlimited mileage is included in our prices.
Taxes
V.A.T (Value Added Tax) 24% is included in our prices.
Additional drivers
One (1) additional driver may be registered at no additional charge. A maximum of two (2) drivers, including the primary driver, are allowed per rental.
Insurance
All authorized drivers are covered by Liability Insurance for death, personal injury and third party property damage. Both coverages are subject to the General Conditions of the insurance policy.
Vehicles must not be driven on unsuitable roads. The Renter is obliged to pay for any mechanical damage or replacement of damaged tires, rims as well as damages and scratches to the bottom, back and front of the car. The above damages are not covered under any circumstances by the small insurance.
Personal insurance
The insurance covers medical expenses and sudden death of the renter and passengers in the event of an accident during the rental. The lessor is liable for damages or claims in excess of insurance coverage.
Roadside assistance
Roadside Assistance is free and available 24/7. Our partner for roadside assistance is Hydrogeios insurance. It is recommended that you contact our office directly in case of roadside assistance required.
Car Replacement – Damage
In the unfortunate event of an accident/breakdown that results in immobilization of the vehicle, your car will be replaced with another within 24 hours of the accident/breakdown being reported.
Our company has the right to search for the causes of the accident/damage and refuse to replace the car in case the use of the car was contrary to the terms of the contract. In this case the renter must pay all the damage as well as the rent per day until the car is repaired by the mechanic. All insurance conditions cease to apply when the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such case all responsibility and costs are solely with the undersigned lessee.
There are no additional charges for flight delays
Our team is informed of your arrival time, including any last minute flight schedule changes that may occur. They will await your arrival to hand over your reserved vehicle.
Fuel policy
The renter must return the vehicle with the same level of petrol as on delivery, otherwise they can pay us the difference.
Transportation of the vehicle beyond the locations we offer
Car transportation to and from any other island is not permitted. All insurances will be voided and the renter will be responsible for any damage caused if the vehicle is driven elsewhere than Ikaria.

Renting a car in Icaria is a great way to experience the beauty and rugged landscape of this spectacular island. In order to do so, you must either be aged at least 21 years old or have held your driving license for at least 3 years.

Additionally, if you do not have a credit card then we ask that you instead purchase the Premium Insurance for the duration of your rental period and this can be done online before arrival or once you have collected the vehicle.
